Spent the day downtown yesterday and just had to check out the Blonde Bombshell. Everyone is talking about the new Marilyn Monroe sculpture that was unveiled on Michigan Avenue last month. She's 26 feet tall and looks very much at home smiling out over the Mag Mile. I LOVE it! She was a bigger than life icon, so why not a bigger than life statue! Seems fitting to me. The artist, Seward Johnson, has had other sculpture displayed on the Mag Mile (think "American Gothic"). The Blonde Bombshell will be flashing visitors until next Spring. If you got it, flaunt it! You go girl!
